Oil and gas as key goals in the Ukraine standoff

Since the standoff for Ukraine started, and more recently, after the annexation of Crimea and the Eastern Ukraine separatism affecting Donetsk and Lugansk, which Washington has accused Moscow of inspiring them and the so called sanctions by the White House and Brussels targeting basically and strategically the russian oil and gas industry, a few days ago, Iran and Saudi Arabia have expressed their capability of filling the hypothetical void that could leave a disruption of russian oil and gas exports to the european markets, and even Qatar so hungry to take over Europe with its gas supplies from Russia. 

Since these announcements and statements, there could be an underlying intention to displace Russia from the oil market, and of course to finally give the impulse to natgas exports to the United States. Lets not forget the strong animosity between Moscow and Riyadh in terms of oil market competition, as well as their position against extremist Islam specifically in Chechnya, Daguestan and the whole Central Asia former soviet republics, where the various islamic organizations are wahhabi inspired, as well as intense struggle between Doha and Moscow for the european gas market, and of course the behind the curtains alliance between Washington and the majority of the OPEC arab monarchies members, which have the majority of the oil share in the overall production and reserves. 

There have been many tools and proposals to undermine russian oil based economy, i.e, Washingtons intention for releasing oil from its strategic reserve, and we have to wait until June to see the outcomes and results for the next ordinary meeting of the OPEC in Vienna, if they lift their overall production aimed at lowering prices, then the final oil war will be here pointing towards Russia. The aim is to encircle and block Russia by all means possible, and the most perfect way is to strangle its oil production and exports as well as its gas revenues. To conquer Caspian gas and oil resources, prevent the Eurasian Union from consolidate itself and diminish russian energy influence in Eurasia. Thats the main goal in this standoff and struggle for Ukraine.
